The Merce Cunningham Dance Company was formed in the summer of 1953. The company continues to perform all over the world and hold classes at their NYC studio.
About the Website
Their website needed a redesign that modernized their capabilities and better reflected their brand. Scherr Technology designed and built a video enabled site that translates the excitement of their product and provides access to current news and information. Custom ecommerce features "low overhead" reseller accounts (Paypal for movies/books and CafePress for merchandise). Implemented a client-side content management system. Scherr Technology provided merce.org with strategy, design, programming, copy, implementation, marketing and maintenance services.
Website Performance (ROI)
The merce.org website features 6 branded and trackable HTML email response webforms. In 2006 the website generated 188 inquiries or .5 prequalified leads per day. In 2007 those numbers were 423 inquiries or 1.2 prequalified leads per day. In 2008 their numbers reached 540 inquiries or or 1.5 prequalified leads per day.
